Inspiration: beautiful colors and fabrics…!

Okay, so my outfit is really a far cry from these authentic kimonos, but the red silk tunic did feel somehow reminiscent of them.  This tunic also had a lovely and intricate pattern / weave to the neckline which I fell in love with.  Classic, easy, bright.  Works for me!  Add dark wash jeans and I’m ready for weekend running or a casual Friday in the office.

I’m always so inspired and appreciative of my fellow fashion bloggers, but so often I forget to acknowledge your fabulousness!  Today, I thank all my lovlies out there and say keep doing what you’re doing!  My outfit today was inspired by a recent look of Kasmira’s from What I Wore Today. 

 

This is my second noted inspiration from Kasmira, but I’m sure there have been others I’ve just forgotten!

 

Wild Inspiration

A few weekends ago, the man and I took a trip to the Cincinnati Zoo.  I always notice what a great link to fashion there is in just about anything, so I thought I’d show you a glimpse into a few of my inspirations…

An elephant may not seem to many an obvious fashionista inspiration, but gray is all the rage this season and I love some womanly curves!

   

Flowers are an easy inspiration for any kind of ruffles, detailing, or interesting color combinations.

  

SJP, Queen of all fashionistas, may have looked to a beautiful lioness for her bold fur choice.  Grrr!

Leopard will forever be a sexy staple print.  Feel the fierceness!

 

Peacock blue – need I say more??

A monkey suit…!  Kasper has some classics.
